One of our older short docs, ‘Camels Come From Canada,’ is now screening in Vienna, Austria as part of a new exhibition at Weltmuseum Wien. ‘On the Backs of Camels’ is running now until January 2025. The award for Best International Documentary Series went to Canadiana Season 3 at Rio WebFest!


CANADIANA WINS FOR BEST DIRECTING AT NZ WEBFEST - NOVEMBER 2023

Best Directing in an International Factual Series went to Canadiana Season 3 at this year’s NZ WebFest! It was such an honour to be recognized amongst so many high-quality series. Co-directors Kyle Cucco & Ashley Brook were called to accept the award virtually, as the event takes place each year in Auckland, New Zealand. Brook was also invited to be a guest panelist in the international documentary session during the festival.


ROCKIE AWARD NOMINEE 2023

Canadiana Season 3 received a nomination from Banff World Media Festival in the Best Short Form Non-Fiction category! This is BEYOND exciting for us! What an honour to be recognized among the top television + digital series around the world. Congrats to all the nominees for the 2023 Rockie Awards!


CANADIANA WINS AT MELBOURNE WEBFEST - NOVEMBER 2023

Once again, Canadiana Season 3 has been recognized for its unique brand of visual storytelling — the team took the award for Best Special Effects at Melbourne WebFest!

We’ve recently learned that Canadiana S3 has been nominated by both NZ Web Fest and Minnesota Web Fest for Best Web Series in the Documentary / International Factual category! NZ WebFest has also nominated the Canadiana team for Best Directing and Best Editing!

The Minnesota festival takes place October 2-10, 2023, while New Zealand’s is happening in early November, 2023.

Canadiana Season 3 will be an Official Selection at:

  • Rio WebFest in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil,

At T.O. Webfest, Canadiana will screen on Tuesday September 19th at 11:40am (more info on the festival website).

Award selections for most fall festivals are still ongoing, but we’ve heard that at T.O. WebFest, Canadiana will be a 3x nominee! We received nods for Best Documentary Series, Best Toronto Series, and Best Visual Effects (full list if nominees here).
